So we have come up with ways which simulate real life situations to apply what you learn in an interactive environment and walk away with a new level of understanding the art of teaching.
Join Clare and Brett, two world class teacher trainers, collaborating for the first time to bring an innovative and fresh perspective to the art of teaching Pilates. Open to all styles and levels. Credits will be available for PMA, USPA and Peak Pilates.
About Clare Dunphy
Clare Dunphy is a world recognized Pilates teacher, teacher trainer and fitness educator. She is an author of the Peak Pilates certification program and has spent the past 11 years mentoring teacher trainers worldwide. Clare lives in Newburyport, MA where her studio Progressive Bodyworks is located, a unique space for teachers around the world to study the art of teaching, through certification, CEC workshops and her new Pilates Masters Program launching later in 2011.
Clare began in the fitness industry in 1981 teaching aerobics and personal training and began leading workshops for fitness professionals in 1987. In 1995, Clare studied Pilates under first generation Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska and completed her certification in 1997. She also trained with Master Teachers Jay Grimes, Bob Leikens, and Sari Mejia Santo. Clare graduated from Northeastern University in 1995 with a BS in Physical Education and holds certifications through PMA, ACE, and the Pilates Guild. Committed to preserving the authenticity and tradition of Pilates, her approach is refreshing, energetic and supportive. Clare's gift is her ability to merge leading-edge educational approaches with traditional Pilates and to explain concepts in simple, clear ways. Clare's workshops echo her deep commitment to help instructors learn new techniques, providing them a framework to apply them into their classes.
